Welcome to USSC+ Online
USSC+ OnLine is an essential resource for attorneys and laypersons wishing to research the opinions of the United States Supreme Court.  The USSC+ database contains thousands of opinions handed-down by the Court, and is one of the most comprehensive databases on the Internet.

Current Scope
The database currently contains 27,109 cases, including complete coverage from 1792 to present. It contains the equivalent of 430,000 pages of text, or some over 500 volumes of the United States Reports.

Finding Cases in USSC+ OnLine
You have a number of options for finding cases on USSC+ OnLine:

• Find all cases on a given topic quickly using our extensive Subject Matter Index .  Every case in the USSC+ database is categorized using this taxonomy.  When viewing a case in USSC+ OnLine, select "Topic Assignments" from the "Current Case Menu" to view the categories which have been assigned to that case.
   
• Conduct a "Citation Search " to lookup cases for which you already know the full "U.S." citation.
   
• Conduct a "Party Names Search " to find cases based on a full text query of case titles.
   
• Conduct a "Word or Phrase Search " to find cases that contain a specific word or phrase.
